Une rêveuse

Ever since I was a little girl, I've lived with my head in the clouds.

I dream big.

{In bed and out.}

On any given day, I could run off a list of all the things I want to do in my life. On any given day, this list is changing and growing exponentially.

Undoubtedly, this drives my friends and family a little crazy. But I can't help it!

It comes in especially handy during stressful times like these. My dreams carry me along and one day, I know I will be awake and living them.

Some of mes rêves...
  • have an underground supper club
  • grow a public, botanical garden in the desert
  • be paid to travel the world with my camera
  • live abroad
  • start a fine arts camp in las vegas (like the one i used to go to every summer in alaska)
  • create and sustain an edible schoolyard
  • provide my children with a more balanced and meaningful education (possibly homeschool!?)
  • sew my own clothes
  • refurnish our home (ugh, so outdated!)
  • see my photos published in a magazine
  • own a small restaurant
  • make the community i desire to live in

Write down what you desire and whisper it in my ear... I'll hold your hand and we will walk into our dreams with eyes open.

Terminal connections

I just returned from a photo shoot where I happened upon this lovely passageway in the United Airlines Terminal 1 at Chicago O'Hare International Airport.

Let me just say... I ♥ public installation art.

This beautiful display of light and sound was created by architect Helmut Jahn during the 1980's. The tunnel emits a calming vibe amongst the harried and stressed-out travelers.

Don't you think all airports would be improved with surprising visuals like these?

08 April 2010

it's not you, it's me.

Get off.

Shhhhh.......

I waited too long.

And now it's gone.
