Les fleurs

Taking photos of flowers is about as unoriginal and cliché as it gets, but I love them nonetheless, and have wanted to shoot with a black background ever since my Sognare d'Italia assignment last year. I think the contrast between the color and the dense darkness creates such a lovely tone, don't you? I can already see various combinations of these images decorating a wall in my house.

These are fantastic! The color is amazing, especially against black.

I'm glad I didn't 'mark all as read' and move on ;)

I love the black, and I think you certainly have a way of capturing les fleurs that is anything but cliché!

Flowers as subjects will be unoriginal just as soon as human beings as subjects becomes unoriginal. Think of it as "classic."

Just stunning. I love photos of les fleurs as much as I love taking them. Every year I go to our Tulip Festival and fill up my memory card. I just can't get enough of their natural beauty.

You've got some incredible images here. I love the black background. The first ranunculus with the stem trailing up in the center is pretty amazing.....!
