This morning I was listening to 'Cemetery Gates' by The Smiths. The song mainly pays homage to classic English writers, mixed in with a diatribe against plagiarism. But there is a line about literary critics that always makes me laugh:
"There's always someone, somewhere With a big nose, who knows And who trips you up and laughs When you fall."
Makes me think that sometimes we're the people with the big noses who laugh at all the bad writing we see. Bad writing that someone might be getting paid to produce.
LVGurl- Thanks, mama! It is a tricky medium. I just seek those that their loves and hates and passions are just like mine and hopefully we will connect before we die... :)
Alphadaddy- You also made my day on here and Flickr. Maybe one day we can collaborate. That could be very interesting, no?
Stepping, -Rm, Guilty- You guys are way too kind. :) I am lucky to have children who like to play along.
Dr. Zibb's- HAHA! True, true, my friend. I'm sure it won't be long before I just photograph words. Mark my words. Seriously. AHAHAHA.... No, but seriously. I'm sure it will happen eventually.
Came your way via A Mom Two Boys. I love today's post - I want to BE all of those quotes. Writing and wine, hmmmn - we may have much in common.
