Giving Thanks
21 November 2007 by 180|360
In honor of Thanksgiving, I thought it would be appropriate to share some of the things I'm thankful for, as well as participate in "Thank Your First Commenter Day," as presented by the lovely and talented Neilochka.
I started my blog back in January and it took 5 posts to get my first comment from my one and only reader at the time, LVGurl. In essence, I was writing to her each and every time I posted- which in retrospect was pretty silly, since we would talk on the phone every day, too. Here's my first comment:
Here are some other things I'm thankful for:
-My family (duh- they make my life worth living)
-My health (without it, I have little else!)
-My friends (I really feel this year has been pivotal for me regarding my friendships)
-My financial situation (that allows me to stay home, live comfortably, and do the things I want to do)
-My talents and love for what I do (I feel blessed that I finally found what I want to do for the rest of my life)
-My yoga practice (especially my wonderful teacher)
-My music (it gives me so much inspiration and energy)
and lastly,
-My internet (for all the time I may waste on it- I'm constantly amazed by the people I've met, the talent I've seen, the information I've gained and the connectivity I feel towards the world because of this amazing invention.)
Happy Thanksgiving and THANKS for reading! I appreciate you, too.

Here's my first comment:She's been my staunchest supporter from day one and I appreciate the fact that she still reads and comments, and that we can have a 3 hour phone conversation later with stuff left to say. But really, I'd like to give thanks for her being a part of my life- period. I wouldn't want to imagine life without her and I'm so thankful for our friendship. Thanks, Marci. You are a great friend!LVGurl said...

Awe!! *tabbing away tears* That was very sweet! Thank you :)
Was Dr. Fever really my first comment?
This post made me think of that conversation last January, when we confessed to each other that we each had a blog... afraid what the other might think. But look at us now, with a dozen readers between us ;)
I'm way psyched to have my face photoshopped along with the Thanksgiving harvest. Outstanding!
Ah ha, I didn't even notice your faces. Too funny!
Was I a close 2nd for your 2nd commenter?? :D
Happy Thanksgiving!
